I moved back to Tuscaloosa, for my senior year, and am loving every minute of it. Like I said here, I moved from living at The Retreat to a 3 bedroom house on campus. It is adorable! The knocker on the front door says "Richey", so obviously the name stuck. My two amazing roommates live downstairs and I live upstairs. My upstairs space is huge! My bathroom is big enough to have a party in... There is a built in vanity, large walk-in closet, extra storage closet (which I have made into my bag/purse closet). I originally bought cute dresser knobs to install into the wall to hang my jewelry, but opted to replace the dated pulls on my sink drawers and doors. In between my room and my bathroom is the "landing" from the stairs, in which I made into my design area. It is the perfect way to keep my design work separate from my bedroom. I have my vintage vogue prints from London hanging on the wall next to my mannequin you've seen here, here, and here; a bookcase that is now used to hold design books, patterns, fabrics, and thread; a desk where my light table and sewing machine conveniently both fit on with an inspiration board above. My bedroom has a built in bookcase, storage area (perfect for my tv). I basically kept everything the same as my room before. I love my new space and feel settled for the school year that has already begun!
