Spring Sprucing, Cosmetic Bag

+ MONDAY, APRIL 26 2010

There is something about the spring season that makes me want to throw away everything old and "spring" into a fresh start! Of course, I go a little overboard but I can't help it. Going through your closet and pulling things aside that are better off at Goodwill will give you a great sense of cleanliness, I promise! Saturday I was having one of those moments while going through my cosmetic bag. I had the sudden urge to renew everything with fresh products that were in a pretty spring color palette. For basic face makeup I will always go to the good stuff, Chanel. Last Christmas, I received a Nordstrom gift card that I used to update my makeup bag. I have been completely satisfied with everything! Here's a look inside...
So back to Saturday; even though it was raining (I would say "its really coming down out there"), I went on a hunt around Tuscaloosa to find some great products to add my cute little Tory Burch gold cosmetic case! My girlfriends and I planned on going out that night, so I thought it was the perfect time to try out all my new goodies! I was extremely impressed with everything!

  • I swear by both of these Maybelline mascaras. Colossal gives HUGE volume, and Define-A-Lash gives great length!
  • CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain is exactly what is sounds like. Just pick one of the beautiful shades it comes in, and after applying, it stains your lips! I put on #420 once Saturday night and it stayed on all night!
  • I don't have the steadiest hand so I have always used pencil eyeliner, but this L'Oreal felt tip eyeliner really feels like using a pen.. so easy!
  • Sally Hansen sure did a good job with this one; the Fast Dry Nail Color Pen makes you feel like you are using a paint brush and when you switch to paint the other hand, the first hand is dry! It is so easy and they have so many fun colors!
  • I have used Aquaphor since... forever. Its an amazing quick fix for any dryness.
  • I know I have a gold TB cosmetic case, but this leopard one is perfect to slip in my purse!
  • CoverGirl's Classic Color Blush has the perfect amount of lightness to it, but stays on all night!
If you are thinking of doing a little update in your beauty department, I recommend trying any of these!
{I am currently looking for a new shampoo? I am in desperate need of something that gives me volume.. like HUGE, Big Texas hair kind of volume! If anyone uses any and recommends it, please email me!}
